Dear
WCS Families
Three quarters down and one to go! The end of
this
school year is rapidly approaching.
The
third quarter report card for your child along with other important
information
is enclosed.
Parent
Service Hours: If
you haven’t already
completed your service hours, there isn’t a whole lot of time left!
There are plenty of school activities coming
up for which we’ll need lots of help—call Carol to schedule your hours.
Remember: students of families who don’t
fulfill their service commitment to the school will not receive
automatic
re-admission. Do you want to look into
the option of buying out your hours?

Materials
Donation Fees: One more gentle
reminder to pay your materials donation fees.
Thank you
to all of you who have already paid but we are still short of our goal
of 100%
family participation.
This money helps support our excellent electives
offerings.
IMPORTANT!!
Re-Enrollment for 2007-08: It is likely
we will be full in many grade levels next year
and will have to conduct a
lottery for new applicants. Existing
students have priority for placement,
but only if we receive a
re-enrollment form by May 4th (form is enclosed) and
you have
completed your
parent hours. On the back of the re-enrollment form is a
parent-student survey for you to fill out with
your child. We are interested in
your comments and will use the information in our annual report to the
district.
STAR
testing
will take place
the week of May 7th to 11th for
all students except 12th
graders.
The STAR program is how the
state determines our success or failure as a school.
If we don’t meet our achievement targets, we
can lose our funding, so it is extremely important for us
to have 100% student
participation and for every student to do his/her very best on these
tests.
Please make sure your child is at school on time.
