REGARDING Tdap VACCINATIONS FOR ALL GRADE 7-12 STUDENTS
STUDENTS MUST HAVE A Tdap BOOSTER GIVEN AFTER THEIR 7TH BIRTHDAY.
WAIVERS, FOR RELIGIOUS OR PERSONAL BELIEFS, ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE WCS OFFICE.

Please note there are no clinic times left for vaccinations during the month of September, they are all filled. So if the student is intending to use the Public Health Department for vaccines during the new 30 day waiver period, there are no available appointments.
MCOE has just posted a list of pharmacies that are administering Tdap, they are not billing insurance or Medi-Cal, so these are cash payments. The posting is on our website at http://www.mcoe.us/d/alerts “Pharmacies Tdap”.

Student Government Raises Money
The student government class has raised $415 for sports equipment through their
2 dances that they have sponsored this year. They would like to thank all the
parents who volunteered their time to chaperone, clean up and donated goodies.
And we would like to thank all of you for helping them help WCS. A big thank you to
Little Lake Grange for the space. And Aurelie for her dedication to the teens of Willits.
Graduation
Eighth grade promotion will be on June 9th and graduation will be on June 10th. If you have a “graduate” you should have already received a letter detailing the ceremonies. Please remember to bring flowers and finger-food to the ceremony. If you have any questions, please call the contact person listed in the letter.
Lunch Money Owed
School is almost out and there are a number of charges for brunch and lunch that we would like to clear up
before school ends. We are owed over $194! Please help us keep our programs going. Ask your child if they
owe any money for meals. You can also call and ask Jason.

WE NEED A WEDNESDAY VACUUMER FOR THE REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR (ONLY

Yearbooks
Yearbook orders are due NOW! Yearbooks are 115 pages, full-color soft bound for a cost of $35.
Orders are due by end of school on Tuesday, May 24th. Payment will be required before the yearbook
is delivered. You may also order online once the school’s order is placed. Sorry for short notice.
End of the Year Field Trip
Plans for the End-of-the-Year Field Trip to Lava Beds National Monument (June 5-8th) are
underway! Permission slips need to be returned NOW! If you need parent hours, we will need
lots of help with this event (planning, buying supplies, driving, chaperoning, etc.). Give Carol a
call if you are available for any of the chores. Thanks.
T-shirt/Sweatshirt Order
Want a Willits Charter School T-shirt or sweatshirt? Order forms are available at the front desk.
Orders deadline is May 23th. Hoodie sweatshirts are $30 and T-shirts (both regular and women’s) are
$25. This year there is a color choice: Black, purple or navy. Get your orders in now!
