Governance:

Willits Charter School is governed by the Willits Charter School Council, whose purpose is to determine the general policies of the school, conduct long-term strategic planning, and to ensure that the school achieves its educational and financial goals. The Council is composed of 5-7 members representing parents and the community.

The Council meets on the third Thursday of each month, at 4:00 p.m., to discuss policy and procedural matters relevant to the school. These meetings are open to the public and the agenda is posted in front of the school 72 hours in advance. Parents may submit agenda items for discussion.

In addition, Willits Charter School has a director/principal whose job is to implement the policies of the Council and to oversee the day-to-day operations of the school.
